I don’t like contests mostly because art is so subjective as well as personal…but this was for fun and I am happy so many people joined in!~ so it was hard for me to choose a “so called winner”….. I had lots of housewives, men, a young girl in N.J., several budding photographer ladies, friends…..so thank you for sending in your awesome photos and keep taking them because we all have the gift of seeing things with our eyes and our hearts! I brought in a few extra “eyes” to validate my original thoughts. Interesting that we all had the same top photos for pretty much the same reasons. Simplicity as well as exposure/composition~.Here are the top 3.
FIRST PLACE ~
Missy Holt . Wife and mom of 3 from E. Tennessee, she feels most content with a camera in her hand. 🙂
I love how she filled the frame, the lines of the whiskers along with the lines in the cats face make for a really cool photo. Great exposure & contrast too~
From Saratoga Springs, NY
Multimedia producer, mom, nature lover, cook, and all around fun middle aged chick who likes to take pictures and laugh.
Window reflections are one of my favorite things to photograph. I love the light and contrast here…the farm thru the Wintery glass!
Linda Smogor. A portrait photographer among many things, she makes her home in Alaska, This photo taken of a mom & her brood was taken in Eugene, Oregon.
This one just felt very Americana to me~ a mother & her children. I see strength and love. Powerful shot.
THANKS FOR joining in the fun~ those of you whose photos I did not choose, I LOVED them too…so keep snapping, keep being inspired and I will do another challenge at some point!
